When I visited Loyola to determine if “New Orleans was the place for me”, the first place I found myself at, before the school, was the Funky Butt music club across from (Louis) Armstrong Park. The music, food, and general attitude infected me. I was (and still am) astounded at the raw cultural wealth. I lusted for more!

Some events have no photographers, others have too many, but I’m capturing a unique perspective - jumping, squatting, peeking…not resting, right in the mix of everything snapping away at the delightful occurrence that may only last a few seconds.

I want to capture these unique experiences and make people drool, make them realize what they’re missing!
